Every week there will be a new survival phrase that pertains to at least one of the lessons we have covered.
| Jiko-shookai sasete kudasai. (Jee-koe show-kie sa-say-tay kuu-dah-sie) | Let me introduce myself. |

| ********* shimasu | Excuse me. (literally meaning "I am committing a rudeness" or 'I am disturbing you". For this statement you would most likely say this when entering a room uninvited.) |
| bentou | Lunch box. Most females add the prefix "o" in front of bentou to sound more polite |
| Nan desu ka? Nan to ii masu - ka? | Pardon? |
| Wakarimasu ( Wakarimasen) | I understand (I don't understand) |
| Watashi wa nihongo ga sukoshi wakari masu. | I understand a little Japanese. |
| Nan sai desu ka? | How old are you? |
| Shusshin wa doko desu ka? | Where are you from? |
| Ikaga desu ka?(polite) Ogenki desu ka? | How are you? |
